Even 200 years after The Great War, trouble still weighs on the Soul Society. Law structures that were once strong have now changed, struggling to adapt to their new situation. Many Arrancar and Soul Reapers work together under the union of Soul Society, now broken into six squads for a stronger union under the leadership of Grimmjow Jaggerjack, a captain during the great war. Old hatred still lingers in the enemies of the soul society, Arrancars from the war still fighting to gather their numbers to strike back. Leon, their leader, refuses to let the war die. Only certain areas have become safe from these fights, neutral areas guarded by people who want nothing to do with the fights. Tsukimi Aira has solidified her hold on this area, known as Elysium, to keep either side from pushing their way into it, leaving an almost sanctuary from the fighting in her territory. Though there is a stable balance between these three sides at the moment, a new group as begun to form. The Fuerza Negra wish to take control over all three groups, determined to seize power for themselves.

The PalaceA larger palace the stand in the center of where Soul Society used to be. It is guarded by a seemingly impenetrable field of reiatsu. Inside is Grimmjow's home several meeting rooms where the Squads and leaders of allied groups meet regularly to discuss.
